Abstract
This study aims to analyze the renovation case of domestic waste factories and study the use of them as functions. .
Through renovation, five expected effects can be obtained: economic feasibility, eco-friendliness, locality, symbolism, and
aesthetics. As a result of analyzing seven large-scale waste plant renovation cases in Korea, two conclusions were drawn.
First, the direction of renovation of the current domestic waste factory is to re-apply its function as a space of a different
nature as a cultural space, and various programs and spaces of character are added. Second, traces of abandoned factories
as industrial heritage are left as the maintenance of frames and exterior materials.
